The standard service involves the following steps: 1) clone the customer’s cDNA into an expression vector, 2) stably transfect the desired host cell line and select stably transfected cells based on antibiotic resistance, 3) isolate up to 100 cell clones by limited dilution and screen these clones by functional activity or for target expression, 4) select up to 10 recombinant cell lines and prepare cryostocks, 5) perform quality control analyses of the cell line stocks for the sterility, viability, and mycoplasma testing, and 6) validate selected cell lines using a customer’s functional assay.
